Sorry for such a kind of superfluous comment, but when can we expect TDE R14.0.1 to be ready and downloadable?
And another question: I will need to compile TDE myself and I have read that there were massive problems because of failed library dependcies which were not detected (visible?) during compilation. Esp., libpng15, because that one missing ruins the general appearance. Any hints on that topic, or has there been an improvement on the compile script side?

R14.0.1 packages for Debian/Ubuntu have been fully built and we are now in the process of publishing them to the mirror system. As soon as all mirrors have synchronized, we will announce R14.0.1 official availability. For rpm-based distro, I leave it to Francois to comment on when packages will be ready, since he is the one putting in all the (enormous) effort in maintaining those distros.
About compiling problems, not sure what you are referring to as "massive problems". Can you be more specific? Also which distro do you want to build TDE for? In general those, TDE builts pretty well in Debian, Ubuntu, OpenSuse, Fedora, CentOS, EL AFAICT. Cheers Michele

I'm just waiting for the sources.

I want to build for ArchLinux, and if I succeed, I will publish the PKGBUILD files.
I have just read that the people who tried were not so happy because of the said library difficulties, for example mentioned here:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Talk:Trinity

When the packager did all the work it should run pretty well for sure. :*)
Kind regards, Klaus-Jürgen

Great, sounds good - a long time we lack someone who could manage packages for Arch Linux!
Official tarballs can be found at:
http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/releases/R14.0.1/
Or you can use *orig.tar.xz packages from Debian / Ubuntu repository:
http://mirror.xcer.cz/trinity-sb/pool http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/trinity-r14.0.0/ubuntu/po... http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/trinity-builddeps-r14.0.0...
