My day to ask the list odd questions???
Is it normal to have these TDE packages being held back (below)? A few of them seem sorta ‘mission critical?’
I’m running a full backup tonight, but I’d rather not spend the next two days installing/re-building from scratch if I don’t have too...
Best All, Michael
Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS 4.2.0-27-generic #32~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux

The following packages have been kept back: kcontrol-trinity kdesktop-trinity kfind-trinity kicker-trinity konq-plugins-trinity konqueror-trinity kpersonalizer-trinity ksmserver-trinity ksplash-engine-moodin-trinity ksplash-trinity linux-generic-lts-wily linux-headers-generic linux-headers-generic-lts-wily linux-image-generic-lts-wily tdeaddons-trinity tdebase-data-trinity tdebase-tdeio-plugins-trinity tdebase-trinity-bin tdm-trinity The following packages will be upgraded: adept-batch-trinity adept-common-trinity adept-installer-trinity {snip} twin-style-crystal-trinity twin-trinity 160 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 19 not upgraded.
Are you doing an upgrade or a dist-upgrade? Some of those look like transitional packages.

Hi John,
Plain upgrade. System is a clean install of Ubuntu 14.04 and TDE R14.0.3, with an upgrade to R14.0.4 when it became available.
I tend to agree these may be transitional packages, but they are not addressed on the TDE Ubuntu Wiki page.
I’m going to hold off for a week or so until these get resolved.
Thanks, Michael
