New mascot for TDE, or no?

Hi, Some months ago, a discussion about finding a new mascot for TDE has bee going on. Recently, I bought an HP 620lx palmtop (er, Handheld PC, for non-Psion users) and I installed Jornada Linux Mobility Edition, available at jlime.com I thought that a modified version of their logo could be interesting as a TDE mascot, but I am not sure about the legal aspect of it. Also, what is you opinion on it? I made a quick mockup of what it could be. Have a great Christmas time! -Alexandre

Can't install Fedora 21 R14 packages

The wiki is not yet updated for downloading the F21 repo rpm. https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/FedoraInstall I was able to figure out the location of the F21 R14 repo rpm. The trinity web site redirect takes me to tde-mirror.yosemite.net, which seems fully populated. Unfortunately, the mirrors list does not include tde-mirror.yosemite.net and yum fails. http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/trinity/rpm/f21 redirects to: http://tde-mirror.yosemite.net/trinity/trinity/rpm/f21/ Mirror list: http://tde-mirror.yosemite.net/trinity/trinity/rpm/f21/trinity-r14-x86_64.l… None of the sites listed in the mirrors list have Fedora 21 R14 packages. If the mirrors list included tde-mirror.yosemite.net then yum would be able to download packages. Darrell

Small quick in KPersonalizer

I noticed that it still says "R14.0.0 [DEVELOPMENT]", although Control Center says "R14.0.0" only. I guess the KPersonalizer package was probably carried over from RC2, so it still says "development". Any chance you can rebuild the package with the proper string? After all it is the first thing a new user would see after the first login. Idea - A simplified TDE install for Debian/Ubuntu

Hi, I see that many users has problems while installing TDE on Debian/Ubuntu base system. I wonder if it would be a good idea to create, just as DraftSight CAD does, one big package with a typical TDE install. The user could download the .deb file and just install it, without much complications. -Alexandre

Rules for commit patches to r14.0.x branch

Hi all, while working on v3.5.13.x was a rule that the patches have always been first pushed to the master branch and then cherry-picked to v3.5.13-sru branch (with necessary modifications). Directly to v3.5.13-sru patches were pushed very rarely - if they were specific to v3.5.13.x. As an example, the current patch for setting the target release in tdelibs. I suppose for r14.0.x branch I will not be alone, who will incorporate patches into this maintenance branch, so I would like to determine, whether we will work also on r14.0.x branch under these rules? The behavior is awkward because different from when longer intervals are selected. I would like some feedback from users/developers about the best way to fix it. Proposed options: 1) leave everything as it is. The user can change the above option to get a 15 minutes interval. IMO, a little awkward. 2) leave everything as it is but change the default value of the "Default duration of new appointment" to 15 minutes, so that by default double-clicking on a 15 minutes interval gives a 15 minutes interval. Users can still change the default interval if they want. 3) ignore the "Default duration" option and just use the length of the actual interval selected in the agenda. 4) others... IMO, option 3 or 2 will do. Please put forward your suggestions. The bug will be fixed as part of R14.0.1.
