Desktops Icewm and TDE

Hello, Somebody told me on tnis list, that TDE was based on Icewm. (if I understood correctly). I tried Icewm, according to me of course, it is not so good than TDE. far behind, I cannot use it. Good evening, andré

Is there a way to copy weird named files form Konqueror?

Hello all, That's probably not a Trinity problem, but I'd love to solve it under Trinity. I recently ordered a double CD with music from Albinoni (not that he has anything to do with my problem). When I inserted the CD it mounted and, to my amazement, I saw that there were directories with compresed files, including ogg-vorbis files (which is the format I store my music in). However, the amazement was short-lived. All these files have names as: Albinoni, Tomaso - 01 - Concerto No. 1 for Violin in B flat major, Op. 9%2F1: 1. Allegro.ogg And konqueror does not manage to copy them. I can rip them with k3b, but I find it frustrating that the files are there and I can't use them :) Thierry

I love konq. That said, I use Krusader as an archiving tool. In that respect, it excels. In general is a good straight forward file manager, but to me, it's an archiver. Then there's the essential and immortal MC, the little hero. Kate

All my folders displayed on desktop

Hello I'm testing openSUSE 15 and trinity. I copy my kde 3.5 profile in trinity and all my folders are displayed on my desktop.I check the trinity config, but I have not found where there is an option for this. How to change theme alternating row colors?

Alway some confusion

In Ubuntu/TDE there is a `kate` and a `kate-trinity`. However, there is no `kwrite-trinity`. I'm always afraid to install some k-something-or-the-other` -- without a -trinity suffix and end up thereby with a $##t-pot-full of KDE 4 or KDE 5 crap. That happened to me several Ubuntu's ago.... It appears the `kwrite` I just installed runs Just Fine in TDE 14.0.5 How is a person to know what to install besides doing an `apt-cache search k-something-or-the-other` for every kabc...xyz? Even more confusion..... I just (apt-get) installed kiconedit-trinty and khexedit-trinity. After the install was finished there was no kiconedit: $ kiconedit The program 'kiconedit' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing: sudo apt install kiconedit huh?!?!? But, I did find that there was a `tdeiconedit`. So now I believe I will put a symlink for `kiconedit` in my $HOME/bin/... I do not believe I wanted to install simple 'kiconedit'......
