Missed dependency installing trinity-desktop on Suse Leap 42.2

I tried to install trinity desktop by following instruction on https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/OpenSUSEInstall. All run well, but after the command zypper install trinity-desktop the system gave following error message: Problem: nothing provides libaudio.so.2()(64bit) needed by trinity-kttsd- contrib-lugins-14.0.4-1.oss422.x86-64 As I tried only to install some trinity software using yast I got a similar error: nothing provides lib|lm|mf-2_2.so.22()(64bit) needed by trinity-kttsd-contrib- lugins-14.0.4-1.oss422.x86-64 What can I do to solve that? PS: packman repository is implemented (http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/packman/suse/openSUSE_Leap_42.2/)

Port distro-specific KDE3 "branding" packages to Trinity?

Is it possible to port KDE3 "branding" packages from a distro, say OpenSUSE for example, to Trinity? If so, how would this be accomplished and what steps would be involved? Thanks, - Conner McCoy

Attachments in read only mode after "Drag & Drop" into folder from Kmail

Hi, if I have an attachment in Kmail and I want to save into a folder I have 2 possibilities. Either save it per "Save As ..." using the right mouse button menu or by "Drag & Drop" it directly into a folder. The former creates the document in read/write mode but the latter in "read only" mode. For I nearly always use drag & drop I normally forget to set the read/write flag for this file afterwards and realize it not after make changes to the document and try to save it again. This happens very often with my workflow. This is a very inconvenient behavior. Anyone an idea if that could be changed without recompilation? Otherwise I would call it a bug. regards Gerhard

Error with Kmail no TLS accepted

Hello to everybody, I use kmail trinity. On a domain name (server) working with postfix and dovecot, I have this configuration : Port 995, mode TLS. Kmail detects automatically this configuration : Port 110, mode TLS I receive this message : "Impossible to connect to host. Your POP3 server claims to support TLS but negotiation was unsuccessful". port 110 or 995. It works only with no certificates (100% clear). It's strange, because with the MUA Icedove, it works perfectly, port 995 and TLS. Does the problem come from Kmail ? Thank for your answers. and Have a good day, André

How to change tdm themes?

Hi all! Is there a way to set themes or colors schemes for tdm? When I go to "kcontrol/System Administration/Login Manager", I can customice some aspects, but Appearance/GUI Style: is ignored by tdm, always "Plastic", Appearance/Color scheme: is ignored by tdm, always "default". /etc/trinity/tdm/tdmrc does partly represent the GUI changes: [X-*-Greeter] ColorScheme=the_selected_color_scheme Theme=@@@ToBeReplacedByDesktopBase@@@ As you can see, "Theme=" is a bit off. Also I cannot find a way to set/select the themes that are in "/opt/trinity/share/apps/tdm/themes" So, does anybody hnow how to change the tdm default theme? Hmmm... No. ~/.config/menus/applications-tdemenuedit.menu is an XML file containing the structure of the TDE application menu; unfortunately it lists only the filenames (*.desktop) without path information. These are not the files that live in ~/Desktop. I have attached the extracted, sorted list from ~/.config/menus/applications-tdemenuedit.menu, and the sorted list of files in ~/Desktop. But ~/.config/menus/applications-tdemenuedit.menu doesn't help me locate whatever files might be R/O or whatever. symbols visualize problem

Hello: I have a simple plain text document that contains the following symbols: • − ⋆ ▷ ∘ ◯ ◯ □ In trinity applications (eg kwrite) they are not shown correctly. Instead of the symbols squares are shown. Libreoffice shows the symbols correctly. On another machine which has legacy KDE 3.5.10 the symbols are also shown correctly in kwrite. Whys is this and how can I fix it? I use trinity 14.0.4 in openSUSE 13.2 64 bit. Thanks, Istvan

Porting individual trinity programs to Android

Hi there. I've got a really great Amarok playlist of songs that I find help me concentrate. I've looked for a means of playing such a playlist on Android without success. If anyone has succeeded in porting a TDE program to Android it would maybe bring this dream a little closer. Please tell me I'm not the only one with such a dream :) Regards, Philip Ashmore
