I downloaded three documentation PDFs for a new motherboard, but when I try to open any of them, kPDF asks for a password.* I can open them with kGhostview, but that application is quite primitive compared with kPDF.
Does anyone know why this is happening, and how to get past the password prompt?

I have written this small helper some years ago. You can associate it with *.pdf to get them decryted on the fly.
