I want to install TDE in a Debian Squeeze OS. In file /etc/apt/sources.list I copied the four lines for Squeeze listed in the following URL:
http://www.trinitydesktop.org/wiki/bin/view/Documentation/DebianBinaryInstal...
to wit (all four sources on one line in sources.list):
deb http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/trinity-v3.5.13/debian squeeze main deb-src http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/trinity-v3.5.13/debian squeeze main deb http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/trinity-builddeps-v3.5.13... squeeze main deb-src http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/trinity-builddeps-v3.5.13... squeeze main
I then added the GPG signing key and finally ran "apt-get update".
The response for all four sources was the same:
"W: Failed to fetch ... 301 Moved Permanently"
Where have they been moved to?

They have not been moved; what you are seeing is an issue with the apt-get software package (see http://www.trinitydesktop.org/installation_lenny.php for more information). I have not seen this problem on any Debian system
= Squeeze however; what version of Debian are you using?
Thanks!

I hope I'm not teaching my grandmother, but are you sure you have Squeeze installed on that computer ? Lenny used to have that problem with 301's but apt in Squeeze should be able to follow the redirection (which is probably just to forward the ppa link to a real server).
What does "apt-cache policy apt" say ?
