Good Day,
since ever when I looked at the raw email contents it has been shown with a rather tiny font. I never found out how to change that. So I took it as hard-coded or using the globally configured fonts for all TDE apps (TDE control center -> appearance -> fonts -> general) which I didn't want to change.
Just now or since a day or since the last update it appears that emails in raw format are shown with another font, the one that is configured as Fixed width: Monospace 10 (that seems also to be the default in a new TDE installation). I'm not aware of having changed something.
I'm quite sure that it hasn't been like that before because the tiny font which had been used to show email raw format has bothered me a bit all the time and wasn't the one for "Fixed Width" but rather the one for "General" (which was tiny in my configuration. So, what has changed?
I tried to find out in gitea to look up changes in kmail but found nothing referring to this. Last change to kmail seems to have been done eight months ago.
Kind regards, curiously, Stefan

Not entirely sure what you're asking, but you can change just about every font in KMail from within the application. Settings > Configure KMail > Appearance. -- dep

Yes, I know. But you cannot configure the font used for showing emails in raw format. Try shortcut "v" on any email message in kmail.
Kind regards, Stefan

Hmm... when I do that with your message it comes up with the same font as regular mail format. Nothing in the kmail documentation says what font is used for "View Source"; I wonder if it's something like the font for "Printing Output"? Notice that in the Kmail => Appearance => Fonts tab there is a selector for different components; it doesn't show all of them; you need to scroll down to see the last few.

Yes. I wasn't like this until recently. That's why I started this thread.

There is no item that configures the font for "View Source".
Cheers, Stefan

So "View Source" must use one of the other items in that list? Or a hard-coded font spec?
Cheers, Stefan

Well, that's what I speculated in the OP… ;-)
Now I found that the font used for "View Source" is being set by the global setting in TDE control center -> appearance -> fonts -> "Fixed Width". When you change that setting the font in "View Source" changes accordingly. Just tested and confirmed.
I'm on TDE R14.0.11 [DEVELOPMENT].
