Occasionally, after my system hangs (after forgetting to kill my Firefox instances), Kmail forgets my customized folder settings (thread messages, prefer html, sort message list latest first) and I have to reset them all. Sometimes, too, it erases all of my mail filters.
Does anyone know what might cause this, and how to prevent it?

Here's the file with KMail's config and filters:
/home/user/.trinity/share/config/kmailrc
Personally I'd setup a cron job to backup the entire folder on a routine basis...
