pulldown menu location

Greetings all; A wild keypress a couple months ago transferred the pulldown menu's that I am used to occupying the top line of a terminal border, to a white line across the top of the screen. It now has the pulldowns of any app that has pulldowns which has the mouse focus. IOW moved from the top of kmails window, to the top of the workspace window. Blank if the item with mouse focus, has no pulldowns. I can't get used to that and I'd like to put it back. What item in the tde control menu controls that? I've spent quite a bit of time wandering around in the TDE control menu's without finding it. Upgrading to Debian Buster

I'm wondering whether anyone managed to do a Debian Buster upgrade? Does TDE work with Buster? Are there important things to be aware of? sysguard in panel?

I know I once knew how to do this, but I've forgotten how, and can't find any documentation that tells me :-( How do I add a ksysguard sensor display to the panel? [The irony here is that I have two sensors already displayed in the panel, but I put them there so long ago that I don't recall how I did it, and can't figure out how to add a third sensor; I have it configured to show three displays, but the third just appears blank because I can't remember how to configure it to display a sensor.] Doc -- Web: http://enginehousebooks.com/drevans

Mostly just a headset profile but I can use it as a handsfree. Honestly the onboard mic doesn't work that well so I use either the webcam mic or the onboard laptop mic. Both work better. Kate

What's your fav FS and why?

Hello me lovely drones. My last question regarding what kernel version to use was so enlightening (I thank everyone who replied), so educational that I've decided to ask another question. I'm currently using JFS. It's fast, reliable and easy to repair. On the rare occasion (once in 20 years) were I wasn't able to fix the fs (after a hard drive death rattle), I was able to mount it as a RO fs and recover the data with a simple copy and paste (later rsync and luckbackup). However jfs has it's limits for example it can't be resized, something I needed to a do a few times. Which meant backing up the drive, reformatting and restoring said backups. So... July's question... What's your fav FS and why? I thank everyone in advance and look forward to assimilating your brainz (ooh a SciFi / Zombie mix there). Kate AKA The Borg Queen. Is someone using the desktop as handsfree device?

Hi, I was just wondering if someone here is using the TDE as handsfree device? I just did a PoC using dbus to do some test phone calls from and to TDE connected via BT to the mobile. Has the time come to revive the kmobile stuff (well at least the GUI)? thanks and regards

"Switch off" monitor problem.

Hi! :-) I just installed TDE on a computer with Devuan stable already on it (through Trinity repositories for Debian based systems). I know this is an "as-is" release and Devuan is NOT officially supported for this version. Having said that, I have a problem switching my monitor off through software. At Configure KDesktop -> Display -> Power Control -> "Enable display..." is activated, but none of these 3 modes works. Also, giving from konsole "xset dpms force off", also fails. All the above, they're just activating the screensaver. Keeping always in mind, that this Devuan version is NOT supported, does someone have any hint on the above issue? TIA!!! :-) Giorgos.

Trinity for 32 / 64 bits Linux

Hello, Sorry for this question of newbie : Has Trinity different packages for 32 and 64 bits Linux ? Because I need to change Debian in 64 bits when Buster will be released. Thanks, best regards, André
