Oh, I didn't know that your kwallet works with other programs. Than it
wouldn't make
much sense to rename ~/.kde3, since your KDE configuration seems to be
OK. What happens
if you open kwallet and navigate to Kopete->Passwords->{some account}.
Can you unhide
the content of the nodes (see the passwords)? If you know all kopete
passwords, you
can also remove the "Kopete" node in kwallet and try to enter the
passwords again via
kopete.
So I went into my wallet and deleted the kopete folder. All the
passwords were there but I deleted them anyway.
I get the exact same error when I run kopete. I complains that it
can't save them securely and offers an insecure save. I say no to
insecure save and have to enter the passwords.
OK, looks like kopete is completely unable to connect to kwallet. But why?
I have no idea.
Sorry. This should have nothing to do with the new location of kde.
