I woke up this morning to my screen still being blacked out, but the backlight was on even though I have TDE set to:
The only way I can get it to turn off completely is by checking the " DISABLE SCREENSAVER" box, but by doing that, when you come back to
the computer and move the mouse, instead of being asked for a password, you're taken straight to the desktop.
What am I doing wrong?
Its like down to the point where, I don't have time to tinker with things that constantly break so its like:
1 > I just leave the monitor on a screensaver at night and cover up the screen with something to make it dark in my bedroom. Because I hear, using the power switch on the monitor
will age the monitor components faster. And Yes, I know leaving it on, with a screensaver will age the bulbs too.... But, its like Damned if you do, and Damned if you dont!!!!!!!
2> Tinker and figure out why the power settings are broke in TDE
Thanks,
Chris

Don't want to blame the cat, but beeing an employee of one of these beeings I have to say that you probably sould get yourself a wildlive observation camera and make it watch your keyboard ...

My dear Watson, it is elementary.
"When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, *however improbable*, must be the truth." ~Sherlock Holmes
You should never turn your back on a cat. It triggers their predatory instincts.

I'm prob going to have to backup and just nuke my system due to using Plasma 6 and TDE, without creating a new profile.
I've noticed launching Firefox and trying to click on a bookmark at the top of Firefox, causes firefox to hang for about 30 sec to a min.
Same with Thunderbird, open TB and try to click on a folder while its downloading email, causes TB to freeze for about 30 sec to a min.

I don't use TDE's power settings on my Desktop, so I can't test.

I'm not talking about standby and suspend where the computer cuts off, I am talking about the power options for turning of the monitor after a certain amount of time, but the PC continues to run
