Need help with old kmail address suggestions

When I type "trinity-users" into the To field of a new email, kmail suggests | trinity-users(a)lists.pearsoncomputing.net though I have none of the email addresses for the trinity mailing lists stored in my address book. If I type "TDE" it suggests | "Michele Calgaro via tde-users" <users(a)trinitydesktop.org> Where is kmail storing these and how can I get rid of them? Leslie

Apt sources generated for Devuan distribution names

Hi all Devuan fans, because we love both Debian and Devuan, we've brought you one little news about PSB and PTB repositories. Recently, we started generating separate apt information for the names of Devuan distributions. This means that for Devuan you can now start using Devuan distribution names in the apt sources lists. It remains valid that the binary packages are identical for both Debian and Devuan distributions, and that it is possible for Devuan to use the names corresponding to the Debian distribution. Our principle that systemd must not be a forced dependency is still firmly held. Note: For official stable repository, we will start generating apt sources for the Devuan distributions names starting with the release of R14.0.9. Cheers -- Slávek

"TDE launcher could not be reached via DCOP"

Every few weeks/months I suddenly start to receive the message in the subject line when trying to start programs from the quicklauncher, the TDE main menu or the "Open with..." menu item. Usually, logging out and back in "solves" the problem. Today it did not, and I had to reboot. Is there some less catastrophic way to get things working again when I start to see this message? Doc PS I suspect that some process dies and for some reason TDE doesn't have a watchdog on it to force it to restart (if that guess is correct, it sounds like two bugs to me: one that the process can crash, one that TDE doesn't notice and do something about it). -- Web: http://enginehousebooks.com/drevans

devuan+TDE dor OrangePi PC plus

Hi all! If anybody has a OrangePi PC Plus, I've created an image with TDE and would like some feedback: https://github.com/zwieblum/devuan-images The RT-kernel does not work 100% on this platform, so there's only an image for OrangePi Zero with LinuxCNC. Those H2+/H3 processors come with a coprocessor just like the BBB, so the realtime signalgerator can be removed from the kernel task and gives way better results than softstepper on ARM (e.g. RPi) Nik -- Please do not email me anything that you are not comfortable also sharing with the NSA, CIA ...

seamonkey small fonts

I am running in a new problem. Being old fashioned I still like seamonkey because it offers browswer+mail. However the fonts, especially of the summary lines in mail are very small. I changed all the fonts I can think of, first in seamonkey and then in the trinity setting but no result the fonts size in the message itself I can change but not of the summary buffer. Anybody has an idea? Migration of services - 3. mailing lists

Hi all, the third service on the migration list are mailing lists. -- Migration status -- New mailing lists have been successfully created, the archive has been migrated, and users are gradually subscribing to new mailing lists. The link between newsgroups and mailing lists has been updated to new mailing lists. For the time being, there is an active migration agent that exchanges posts between old and new mailng lists. However, it is scheduled to be stopped at the end of October. If you are still subscribed to old mailing lists, it is a good idea to subscribe for new ones and unsubscribe from old ones. -- What needs to be done -- Once we proceed with the migration of the DNS servers of the trinitydesktop.org domain, it will be a good idea to add a DKIM key to the DNS so that we can set up DKIM signing on the mail server. -- More ideas and suggestions? Change kernel on Refracta

So another question from the distro-for-beginners-coner: Has anybody tried to change the kernel on refracta based live CDs and knows how to do this? The only way I've come up with is to install the distro to a partition (and keep the original users+pwds), make the changes, creata a refracta-snapshot and contuninue from that iso. Ubuntu20.4+pre-stable Thinkpad X1: batterie running, screen gets dark trinty freezes

Hi I in Thinkpad X1 8th generation I installed finally Ubuntu 20.04 and relevant trinity package from the pre-stable release. Now when the machine is running on batteries and is not used for couple of minutes the screen brightness is dimmed down, but the machine freezes, and has to be rebooted. Is that an Ubuntu bug? Or trinity's fault. Migration of services - 2. git repository

Hi all, the second service on the migration list is the git server - git repositories. -- Migration status -- The GIT server was successfully migrated. The previously used SCM Manager has been replaced by Gitea. Gitea is a GitHub-style service, so it serves not only as a server for GIT repositories, but as a comprehensive platform - workspace for developers and users. See https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/TDE_Gitea_Workspace Currently, the primary place to work with GIT is TDE Gitea Workspace (TGW) located on a VPS donated by vpsFree.org. The second instance of Gitea is located in a virtual machine on a new tde-box donated by Integricloud. This second instance is in read-only mode to serve as a second copy that no one can write to directly. The individual repositories between these instances are synchronized every hour. The CGit interface has also been migrated. This can be used for quick searches in git repositories. It is configured to display data directly from the TGW GIT repositories, so there is no delay - commits to the TGW are immediately visible in CGit as well. TGW is connected to the new mailing list commits(a)trinitydesktop.org, so if you want to be informed about all changes in GIT, you can subscribe to this mailing list. If you want to be informed about pull-requested and issues, you can create an account in TGW and turn on the watch on the repositories that interest you. -- What needs to be done -- It seems that everything related to the migration of the GIT server is now complete. TGW has been used successfully for more than two years. Once we proceed with the migration of the DNS servers of the trinitydesktop.org domain, it will be a good idea to change the address for TGW, because the current https://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/gitea may look confusing. Focal: strange behavior of the prompt for the tcsh shell

Hi I am running a Thinkpad X1, and upgraded from 16.04 to 20.04. I always use the tcsh shell, with the following setting set prompt = '%B%n@%m:%~\n%T %#%b' That worked perfectly till now However now when repeat a command with left arrow up and then use the right and left arrow keys of my keyboard the cursor jumps the line and make it hard to modify the last command.
