When Klicker stops working...

Once in a while, Kicker stops working. (See attached Klicker1.png; I place my panels on the left and right side of the screen.) Thinking that it had crashed, I tried to restart it (See Klicker2.png), but it's still running, as I realized, seeing that the applets still appear in the main panel. TDE and starting program when logging in

Well, this is embarrassing... Sometime, long, long ago, I somehow configured TDE so that when I log in, it automatically starts yakuake on my desktop. I now want to change the binary that is executed (I have multiple versions installed, and just want to switch to a different version of yakuake). But I can't see where I am telling TDE to run yakuake, so that I can change the command to use a different binary. I've flailed around on the web, trying to discover all the places where I might have put the command that tells TDE to run yakuake. https://www.trinitydesktop.org/faq/configure.php#idm140487997734752 says that there are "several" ways to start a program on log-in, but then lists only two, and it seems neither of those two are the one that is causing yakuake to run. I have managed to get my filters working again; the only things missing now are my toolbar icons, which issue I will pursue in a new thread. How to migrate mail into Kmail

Once again, Kmail has trashed the filters that route mail into my subfolders. Is it safe for me to copy the list from an old copy, or will that mess up kmailrc? I can once again recreate the 178 filters manually, but that takes a long time and introduces errors. Can KMail display server certificates

If a pop3 or imap SSL certificate fails (e.g. expired) KMail displays the certificate details. Is there a way for KMail to display such details for a valid certificate, e.g. to determine if expiration is close. I'm not saying that KMail should have such a feature. But if it has such a feature it would helpful to know about it as I could have used it when debugging a problem last night. Thanks, --Mike

Darkness - new version :)

Hi all! I just finished uploading the latest version of "darkness". App-Indicator Installation

When launching dropbox, I get an error saying that I need to install app-indicator for the dropbox icon to show up in the system tray, and that if I don't install it, Dropbox will run in the background, I just won't be able to see what it's doing. What do I need to install? I am using Debian 13. Thanks, Chris

Monitor Standby broken

I woke up this morning to my screen still being blacked out, but the backlight was on even though I have TDE set to: https://imgur.com/a/hVRnLMl The only way I can get it to turn off completely is by checking the " DISABLE SCREENSAVER" box, but by doing that, when you come back to the computer and move the mouse, instead of being asked for a password, you're taken straight to the desktop. What am I doing wrong? Its like down to the point where, I don't have time to tinker with things that constantly break so its like: 1 > I just leave the monitor on a screensaver at night and cover up the screen with something to make it dark in my bedroom. Because I hear, using the power switch on the monitor will age the monitor components faster. And Yes, I know leaving it on, with a screensaver will age the bulbs too....
